Villa Medici is perhaps the most carefully designed apartment/townhouse community in the entire
Midwest. The Chief Designer must have been a landscape architect! With the
exception of a few townhouses, every unit has a view to water and one can hear the sound of flowing water, year-round. Residing in the community are Mallard ducks and a pair of swans. Years ago, the community must have been carefully graded to enable the beautiful waterways, and then the buildings, bushes, and
trees were "planted" in just the right places. Our unit is 2 Bedrooms
and 2 Baths (30 x 60 ---> 1,800 square feet!) for under $1,300 per month
(this includes all utilities!). Villa Medici is a gated community, and
practically hidden from sight, located near 95th & Nall. The Clubhouse is
accessible 24x7 and includes a cathedral-like Great Room, Large Dining Room and Complete Kitchen on the main level with exercise room, showers, business center, and conference room in the lower level. This is the most serene setting you
could ever expect from an approximately 160-unit community, yet great access to
retail, highways, and nationally rated Shawnee Mission schools. The resident
demographic is mostly 50 - 70 years old (quiet neighbors). Most townhomse come with garages, but garages and carports can be leased at good rates. Plenty of
regular parking. Villa Medici is not perfect, but it's near-perfect.
